Job Summary

AGRI-IMPACT CONSULT (AIC) is implementing The Ghana EXIM Bank Youth in Greenhouse Enterprise Project (YuGEP), an initiative to promote investment in Greenhouse Vegetable production in Ghana towards import substitution and job creation. Currently, over 300 youth are benefiting from the project.


Roles and Responsibilities – Enterprise Development Officers

  • Support training and on-site transfer of requisite technologies to the targeted project beneficiaries in greenhouse vegetable production, nursery management, good post-harvest practices, quality systems, market development and business development skills
  • Management and supervision of day-to-day activities of project beneficiaries (Agripreneurs)
  • Provide fertigation, irrigation, trellising, pruning, spraying regime schedules for project beneficiaries
  • Collection of relevant data on production activities and submitting progress reports
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environment measures
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) Extension Staffs and other stakeholders within the District of operation
  • Perform any other duty assigned to you by the Executive Director and Project Coordinator


Roles and Responsibilities –  Marketing Officer

  • Spearhead marketing of vegetables at various sales outlets across the country
  • Responsible for innovative packaging designs and food safety protocols
  • Conducting market research for market expansion and competitiveness
  • Responsible for Brand Promotion
  • Ensure effective distribution of fresh vegetables to hospitality industry and institutions
  • Initiate and sustain online and delivery services of vegetables
  • Perform any other duty assigned to you by the Executive Director and Marketing Director


Roles and Responsibilities –Engineering Assistant  

  • Support construction of multiple greenhouses across the Country
  • Working with equipment manufacturers to develop and manufacture solutions that meet Agri-Impact needs, leading to continuous improvement for cost-effectiveness and productivity enhancement
  • Responsible for maintenance of greenhouses and accessories
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and environment measures
  • Perform any other duty assigned to you by the Executive Director and Greenhouse Construction Engineers



Required Skills or Experience

Basic Qualifications

  1. BA/BSc/HND/Diploma from ATVET in Agriculture, Engineering, Marketing or related fields.
  2. Experience in Agriculture, agro-industry, agribusiness or related activities
  3. Experience in Marketing and Entrepreneurship
  4. Knowledge in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems



  1. Required languages: English and one local language
  2. Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 30% of time
  3. Must be willing to be posted to any part of the project areas
